StrxTweak is a small free app for Windows. It has the usual tweaks for power, graphics, privacy and storage, a cleaner, a system monitor, and Game Boost, which pauses the background services you pick while you play and turns them back on when you stop.

    What's in the app

    It all comes in one .exe file. You don't install anything and you don't make an account.

    Tweaks
    Settings for power, graphics, privacy and storage. Anything you turn on can be turned off again later.
    Change preview
    Before you apply something, the app shows you what it's going to change.
    Game library
    Finds the supported games on your PC. You can add other games yourself.
    Cleaner
    Lists temp files and caches. You choose what gets deleted.
    Restore points
    Make a Windows restore point from inside the app before you change anything.
    Monitor
    Shows CPU, memory and temperature.
    Firmware advisor
    BIOS suggestions for your motherboard. It only gives advice. It doesn't change anything in the BIOS.
    Recovery
    If a Game Boost session gets cut off, the app keeps what it needs so you can restore your settings the next time you open it.

    How Game Boost works

    Game Boost doesn't make permanent changes. It only runs while you're playing. When you stop it, Windows goes back to how it was before you started.

      You pick the services

      Choose which background services and tasks should be paused while you play. You can change the list whenever you want.

      The app saves how they were

      Before it pauses anything, StrxTweak writes down the state of each one.

      You stop the session

      Everything that was paused gets started again. If the PC shut down in the middle, you can restore it the next time you open the app.

    Is it free?

    Yes. There's no paid version and you don't need an account.

    Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" when I open it

    That happens because the app isn't code-signed yet. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". Only download StrxTweak from this site.

    Why does it need admin rights?

    Windows doesn't let any app pause services or change some system settings without admin rights.

    How much FPS will I gain?

    We can't give you a number. It depends on your PC, your drivers, the game, and how much is running in the background. A PC with a lot running in the background usually sees more of a difference.

    Does it change BIOS settings?

    No. The firmware advisor only shows suggestions.

    Are the services turned off for good?

    No. Game Boost only pauses them while the session is running.

    Is the app available in Arabic?

    Yes. You can use it in English or Arabic.

    What exactly do I download?
